Q. Who is eligible for OMS?
A. All active Merchants located in Thailand are eligible for OMS. However, each of the services within OMS has its own criteria to ensure it is right for your business.
Q. How do I enrol for OMS?
A. You do this very easily, online. Simply click here to enrol. Please have your Merchant Number and bank account details handy.
Q. Can I change my password if I need to?
A. You can change your password for your OMS account online as required. From the main menu, select 'Update your Account'. From the 'Update your Account' menu, select 'Change Your Password'. This will take you to a screen where you will be able to set your new password.
Q. What if I forget my password?
A. You can reset your password online using the 'Forgot Your Password' link. You can also call Merchant Services for assistance.
Q. What if I forget my User ID?
A. You can call Merchant Services for assistance.
Q. Why should I choose a new User ID different to the one for my personal online account access?
A. It is advisable to choose a separate User ID for your Merchant data to ensure that the privacy of your personal data is protected.
Q. What should I do if I cannot access the web site?
A. Please check with your Internet Service Provider (ISP) initially to confirm Internet access availability. Then you should call Merchant Services. They should be able to advise when you will be able to view the site again.

Q. What is OMS - Payment Reconciliation?
A. OMS - Payment Reconciliation is a facility, which provides American Express Merchants with access to their submission and payment data over the Internet.
Merchants who receive payments (for their own submissions, and/or for submissions for other branches in their group) will be able to see full payment related information online.
Merchants who submit, but who do not receive their own payments (for instance if they belong to a centrally paid group) will be able to view their submission information, allowing them to keep track of all their submissions.
Q. What are the benefits of reconciling my payments online?
A. You will be able to see your payment information faster and more efficiently than you currently do! You will also be able to download your financial information into spreadsheet applications such as Microsoft® Excel for more customised analyses.
Q. Am I eligible for Payment Reconciliation?
A. We do not grant access to online information to Merchants who:
- Are paid by cheque. In this case we would suggest you sign up to receive payments directly into your bank account, then we will be able to provide you with your data online.
- Have cancelled their agreement with us. If you have recently terminated your agreement with us, or if we have terminated it, then we will not be able to provide you with any information online.
- Submit and get paid in any currency other than baht. In this case we will advise you, and contact you again when we can provide data to you on line for currencies other than baht.
- Are paid the gross amount of your American Express submissions, and charged separately for your discount rate amount.
Q. If I am already enrolled for the E-Statements, can I enrol for Payment Reconciliation online?
A. You cannot enrol for both products. If you are receiving E-Statements currently and want to enrol for Payment Reconciliation, then E-Statements will be automatically discontinued upon enrolment for Payment Reconciliation.
Q. Is there a fee for reconciling my payments online?
A. There is no fee for this service.
Q. Will reconciling my payments online affect my American Express Merchant service fee?
A. No. Reconciling your payments online will have no impact on your American Express Merchant service fee.
Q. Will reconciling my payments online affect the time in which I receive payment from American Express?
A. No. Reconciling your payments online will have no impact on the time in which you receive payment for American Express charges.
Q. How long after I sign up to Payment Reconciliation online will I be able to access my data?
A. You will specify your American Express online Services User ID and Password during the enrolment process. Your financial data will be available to you immediately, assuming that we have been able to process your enrolment successfully. If your enrolment is unsuccessful, the decline reason will be displayed on the screen to you and you can ring Merchant Services for assistance.
Q. Does signing up to Payment Reconciliation online automatically discontinue hardcopy (paper) or softcopy (e-mail) Payment Statements?
A. Yes, this financial information will now come to you through your online access only.
Q. How much payment reconciliation data will be available online?
A. You are able to view the latest 45 days payment reconciliation data online. You can also view the last 6 months payment reconciliation data by running a report and/or downloading the data into a spreadsheet (for example, Microsoft® Excel).
Q. What kind of Internet browser will I need to reconcile my payments online?
A. You will need Netscape® Navigator, Microsoft® Internet Explorer 5.01, or America Online version 4.0 or higher.
Q. What are the minimum technical requirements for reconciling my payments online?
A. You may use either an IBM compatible or Apple Macintosh® personal computer that can run Netscape® Navigator, Microsoft® Internet Explorer 5.01, or America Online® 4.0 or higher. For optimum viewing, we recommend using a 28.8 or higher modem. If you don't have 5.01, please download the latest version of Netscape® Navigator or Microsoft® Internet Explorer.

Q. What is Automated Batch Submission (ABS) Internet Option?
A. ABS Internet Option allows you to submit your batched transactions electronically over the Internet. It will speed up payments, and reduce the risk of invalid transactions, by automatically processing your transactions then submitting them directly to American Express.
Q. Who benefits from ABS Internet Option?
A. Any American Express Merchant currently submitting manual transaction vouchers or transactions via quasi-electronic media such as diskette, magnetic tape, magnetic cartridge and facsimile.
